Gregory Bettencourt
Home Parish: Holy Family, East Taunton Seminary: Saint John Seminary Year: First Theology
My name is Greg Bettencourt and I am 25 years old. I grew up in Taunton and am a member of Holy Family Parish. I went to college at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio and majored in philosophy.
I see a call to a vocation as a privilege, a great opportunity to serve God and the entire Church. I have received from parishioners in my own parish and throughout the diocese many prayers and signs of support that have helped me throughout my discernment. It is these affirmations that have shown me that making the decision to enter the seminary was the best decision I could have made. The friends I have made and the way I have grown spiritually will forever make me a better Catholic and a better person. I would encourage anyone considering a priestly vocation to step forward and answer that call in their lives!
